Lyudmila Ivanovna Shevtsova (Russian: Людмила Ивановна Шевцова) (born 26 November 1934 in Taman, Krasnodar Krai[1]) is a Soviet athlete who competed mainly in the 800 metres. She trained at VSS Avanhard in Dnipropetrovsk.
On 3 July 1960, in Moscow, she set the World Record in the discipline at 2 min 04.3 sec.[2] She equalled her world record while winning the 800 metre gold for USSR in the 1960 Summer Olympics held in Rome, Italy two months later.
Shevtsova was awarded Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1960).
